Dr. Stacy Ammerman was raised in Southern Oregon and received a Bachelors of Science in Biology from San Diego State University and is a board certified OB/GYN. She obtained her medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her medical training was completed with a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Southern California.
Her interests include minimally invasive gynecology, and she has advanced training in laparoscopic surgery. She is recipient of the AAGL "Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology" award in addition to a UCLA research award. Her specialties also include the treatment and management of vaginal bleeding. Of significant focus is minimally invasive treatments for this condition such as hysteroscopy, myomectomy, and laparoscopic hysterectomy. Dr. Ammerman's work in the medical management of vaginal bleeding was recently published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her research is titled "A new progestogen-only medical therapy for outpatient management of acute, abnormal uterine bleeding".
Stacy is a strong advocate for women and enjoys empowering them through knowledge about their bodies and their health. When not working, she enjoys diving, stand up paddle boarding, boating, and hiking with her husband and their two dogs, Lola and Iris.
Dr. Christy Takemoto grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended a six year combined undergraduate/medical school at University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Takemoto completed her OB/GYN residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois in 2007. She has been in the community of Maui since 2007.
Dr. Takemoto is a board-certified OB/GYN with a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She has extensive experience with procedures such as Novasure (endometrial ablation) and Essure (hysteroscopic sterilization). She also performs laparoscopic hysterectomy and hysteroscopic/laparoscopic myomectomy. Dr. Takemoto has interest and experience caring for women with various high risk obstetric issues in conjunction with specialists from Oahu.
Dr. Takemoto has served a two-year term as Chair of the OB/GYN department at Maui Memorial Medical Center during her time here.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and running with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
Dr. Jennifer Mathieu is from western Pennsylvania where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology from Grove City College. She proceeded to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and obtained her medical degree. She then did her residency training at Tripler Army Medical Center to become a board certified OB/GYN.
Jennifer enjoys providing a wide range of services for women in all stages of life to include basic wellness care and preventative services, treatment of acute gynecologic problems, surgical procedures for minor and major problems to include laparoscopic surgery, and prenatal care and delivery. She is focused on providing evidence-based care using the most up-to-date studies and information available and tailoring the care to meet each individual patient’s needs.
On her down time, Jennifer enjoys the beauty of Maui through hiking with her English bulldog, Maggie, kayaking, snorkeling and diving.
Paige Cook APRN was born and raised in Ohio, where she received her undergraduate Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree at the University of Toledo. She worked for four years as a Registered Nurse before obtaining her Masters of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. After graduating with her Masters, Paige worked as Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner for five years at a large OB-GYN clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada until her recent move to Maui. Paige also obtained her certification in Aesthetics in 2016, specializing in Botox and Juvederm XC fillers.
